“Brand new physical plant and excellent teaching staff make Darien high School top-notch. In addition to standardized test scores that far exceed national and state averages, DHS offers about 60 AP courses, and the passage rate for those courses is an astonishing 96%. This is an excellent academic institution.”

“even though not many of us have spirit for our school, i defiantly know that this school is better than most public schools out there. we always have someone watching over us, and there is always someone to help us when we need it. not only that but the teachers are great and extremely helpful! if you are thinking of moving to darien i defiantly recommend it rather than any other school close by. not many of our sport teams our great either but we sure have a great education and the teachers know what there doing!”

“Wealthy area=strong school! I am a relative of two students at Darien high school. I live with these students and have watched them move through the Darien public school system from elementary all the way through high school. There is no doubt that Darien high school is an excellent public school and ideal in hard core academics and athletics. However, I believe that the two boys that I have known have suffered because of the lack of diversity at the school. The lack of diversity is a huge problem in that it allows for ignorant racist attitudes to flourish unacknowledged.”
